Epsom Gesmeray

Epsom Gesmeray was imported from Mexico by Paul Schockemoehle, due to his impressive performance record.

He won the Young Horse World Championships in Lanaken and has gone on to win several Grand Prix’s.

In 2003 he was fourth in the Ladies German Championships.

From 2004 to 2006, with the amateur Korean J. Jung Huyn, Epsom placed in numerous Grand Prix and competed at the Athens Olympics where he was a finalist. Epsom is bred from a performance pedigree.

His famous sire Jalisco, successful both in the sport and at stud, is by the all-time great stallion Almé out of a Furioso xx dam. Jalisco himself, remembered from his performance at the Olympics in Seoul, is amongst others, sire to the world-renowned Quidam de Revel, who has considerably influenced the breeding of showjumpers all over the world. On the dam’s side, through Starter, son of the Thoroughbred Rantzau, he has an almost identical bloodline as the three time World Cup Champion Baloubet du Rouet ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa. Rantzau xx also produced the all-time great Holsteiner Cor de la Bryere. Epsom Gesmeray is equipped with an ideal character, super rideability and loose movement with unlimited scope and technique. His first offspring in Mexico are very promising and similar to their father.

Epsom transmits its great balance, blood, good topline and ideal jumping technique. Epsom is well built and collects easily. He displays good movement, is supple and elastic with good reflexes and an excellent gallop. His offspring have cool temperaments, are easy to ride and have good mouths.
