On the 27th of June of 2023 we welcomed this absolutely outstanding filly foal! What a dream, our very first female homozygous homebred!! we have been waiting 10 years for this so it is a huge moment for us! She is also our 60th warmblood homebred, very special!

This Zangersheide foal is unique in the world: there are other homozygous LP fillies around, but none with such an interesting bloodline.

Being homozygous for this gene means that she will pass the LP gene to 100% of her progeny. Isis' coat color is called “snowcap” which will most likely change over time as the colored parts go thru the so called 'varnish roan'.

Her sire Irelkao, a son of the ISJ 1.60 Jo de Labarde. To date he is the only registered and approved Selle Français stallion in the world! He is starting his career under professional training and looks very promising. Isis is also his first homozygous daughter.

The dam is our fabulous Zita, who not only produces the best jumping quality in spotted horses, but also counts already with 2 sons approved as stallions: Dumoulin (jumped the 5yo (1.20m) in NL last year before being exported to USA) and Secret Spot (jumping the YH shows in UK this year), interestingly, both stallions are sired by dressage stallions. Zita is also the only active broodmare of this color that has 2 siblings jumping at GP internationally: Hector 1.40 and Viter 1.45! She comes from the very prestigious Ornita line: ISJ 1.60 Wang Chung, ISJ 1.60 Loverboy, and others!

 

Isis is a 1 in a million filly foal and we will be retaining her as the 1st member of our project's phase II.

 

Color genetics: E/? A/? LP/LP PATN1/patn1 - homozygous LP and heterozygous PATN1 (agouti and extension status unknown), has a 100% chance to pass the LP gene to the offspring and 50% chance to pass on the PATN1 (his dam carries an untestable PATN, so it is possible that she also carries that PATN)
